Athens

At the foot of the Acropolis, the ancient Olympic city of Athens welcomed home the great sporting event in the world "2004 Olympic Games".

 

Athens is a great city for sightseeing, with numerous museums and ancient sites. Less well-known is its appeal for shopping and eating out, and it has become more pleasant city to visit since the opening of the new airport last year, and a new metro rail system to alleviate traffic congestion.

 

The birthplace of Western civilisation, this ancient capital of Greece is a glorious short break choice at any time of the year.

 

 Peloponnese

The Peloponnese is situated on a peninsula that makes up the most southern part of mainland Greece. Also recognised as true Greece, the Peloponnese is an area of outstanding beauty which combines centuries of mythology and history.

 

The resorts featured in Peloponnese area include; Olympia, Stoupa, Petalidi and Tolon. The areas combine stunning unspoiled beaches with crystal clear waters, contrasting landscapes and delightful villages.

Halkidiki

Halkidiki is refreshingly uncommercialised and until recently was one of Greece's best kept secrets. Terracotta-roofed villages with flowers, picturesque little towns, lush farmlands and local tavernas all blend to give Halkidiki it's unique charm. It's crowning glory is its beaches; the dramatic coastline features 500km of beautiful beaches some of the best in mainland Greece.

 

For those passionate about seafood, try the fish freshly caught and served as catch of the day in the local tavernas. For the more active there is plenty of watersports available including scuba diving although the resorts are not geared for non-stop partying you will find enough music bars for late night fun.
